Collaboration The OPS/ASCRS collaboration has taken place since 2003, when the society's Scientific Exhibit of awardwinning images was first shown at the ASCRS meeting. The display was expanded to encompass the symposium this year. OPS, a 44-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to specialized ocular imaging, is also currently holding its OPS Mid-Year Educational Program in San Francisco. Attendees of the OPS event were shuttled to the Moscone Center on Saturday for the ASCRS/OPS Symposium, with the meeting room crowded to standing capacity. Presentations The variety of topics discussed at the symposium covered the spectrum of ocular imaging. Joshua C. Teichman, MD, MPH, Ontario, presented "Imaging with iPhone." He recommended either using as little light or flooding with light when using an iPhone for imaging. The iPhone also is useful for video, he said. "Video can be very helpful for an uncooperative patient, and then you just export it and take the frames you need. Or sometimes you want to use video because a picture just won't do justice, but it's probably a crime that say that in this room actually," Dr. Teichman said.
