The tour provides visitors with free samples of food such as pastry, chocolate, pizza, and pasta. Italian coffee is another feature of the North Beach tour. The tour is a "leisurely, guided tour," according to the company's website, featuring a short walk of about eight blocks over mostly flat streets. Touring the city with a tour guide can be a perfect way to see the most sites at one time. The tour begins with a safety video and 30-minute orientation, with practice on the Segways so participants feel safe and comfortable operating the vehicles. New night tours have expanded the city sites viewed on a Segway to include Chinatown, North Beach, and the Embarcadero waterfront. The company also features electric bicycling tours in the city, including through Fisherman's Wharf and over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Following the guided tour there, riders can spend independent time in Sausalito with return by ferry. The electric bicycles offer the ability to alternate between pedaling or using the electric motor power, with bike pedal power over the bridge required.
