he American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA)
announced its new president is Janna Mullaney, COE, Towson,
Maryland. The immediate past president is Karen Bachman,
COE, Washington, Utah. The president elect is Deborah Davis,
COE, Buffalo, New York. The new ASOA vice president is Joe
Theine, COE, Durango, Colorado.
The 2019–2020 ASOA Board of Directors members-at-
large include Patti Barkey, COE, Jacksonville, Florida, Hayley Boling,
MBA, COE, Elkhart, Indiana, Thomas Brown, JD, COE, Memphis,
Tennessee, Trish Daniels, RN, Sebastian, Florida, and Carrie Jacobs,
COE, Bloomington, Minnesota. Traci Fritz, COE, West Bloomfield,
Michigan, is the National Board for the Certification of Ophthalmic
Executives (NBCOE) president, and Zachary Smith, MHSA, COE,
Grand Rapids, Michigan, is the Administrator Beginners Circle (ABC)
liaison.
The ASOA Board also includes Don Bell as the ASCRS liaison and
ASOA Executive Director Laureen Rowland, CAE.
Founded in 1986, the mission of ASOA is to empower ophthalmic
leaders to elevate the business of ophthalmology through education,
innovation, support, and collaboration.

gan, is its 2019–2020 president.
The president-elect is Sharon

ton. The new vice president is
Mary Jo Krist, COE, Spring-
field, Virginia.
The immediate past pres-
ident is Sondra Hoffman,
COE, Altamonte Springs,
Florida.
New at-large board mem-
bers are Cathi Lyons, MHA,
COE, San Diego, and Ashlie
Barefoot Malone, MBA, JD,
Ladson, South Carolina.
