Dr. Tauber said the ceremony will also feature a tribute to the doctors who have died from COVID-19 and a tribute to Spencer Thornton, MD, Tune in to the virtual 2020 ASCRS Film Festival 6:30–7:45 p.m. ET today who died in October 2019. Dr. Thornton founded the ASCRS Film Festival in 1982 and at the 2019 Film Festival was awarded the first ASCRS Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Tauber said last week that a memory came up on his social media of the 35th ASCRS Film Festival in Los An- geles. It caused him to reflect on how different this year will be. "Everyone will be in their home with their families, and maybe that's a good thing," he said. This ASCRS Film Festival, from its inception, encapsu- lates what it is like in 2020, Dr. Tauber said. "We continued. It wasn't the end of the world. We did the Film Festival. … I hope viewers get a sense of the show did go on."
