"Redefining Our Vision for Future Generations: Implicit Bias in Ophthalmology" will be moderated by Caroline Fisher, MD, and Leon Herndon, MD. "In the Room Where It Happens, Featuring Mariannette Miller- Meeks, MD," is sponsored by the ASCRS Government Relations Committee and will be moderated by Parag Parekh, MD. Closing out the day at 3:45 p.m. is "ASCRS Journal Club – Live!" sponsored by ASCRS and the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery with Nick Mamalis, MD, and Leela Raju, MD, moderating. "Chal- lenges and Controversies in the Management of Anterior Segment Diseases," sponsored by ASCRS and the Cornea Society with So- phie Deng, MD, PhD, moderating, is also at 3:45 p.m. Monday Two essential symposia start the day at 8:00 a.m. "Cataract Surgery Essentials," sponsored by the ASCRS Cataract Clinical Committee, will be moderated by Kevin Miller, MD, and Robert Weinstock, MD. "Keratoconus and Post-Refractive Corneal Ectasia Essentials," sponsored by the ASCRS Cornea Clinical Committee and the ASCRS Refractive Surgery Clinical Committee, will be mod- erated by Francis Mah, MD, and Vance Thompson, MD. From 12:30–2:00 p.m., the 39th ASCRS Film Festival Watch Party will take place (non-CME). At 1:30 p.m. are "Advanced Cat- aract Topics: Eye on the Future," sponsored by the ASCRS Cataract Clinical Committee and moderat- ed by Kevin Miller, MD, and Nick Mamalis, MD, and "The Winning Pitch Challenge" (non-CME), moderated by John Berdahl, MD, and Vance Thompson, MD. "The Refractive Bachelor(ette) in 20/Happy Paradise" will be moderated by David Chang, MD, beginning at 3:45 p.m. At the same time is "Essential Cornea and Ocular Surface In-Office Pro- cedures" sponsored by the ASCRS Cornea Clinical Committee and moderated by Marjan Farid, MD, and Francis Mah, MD. Tuesday The final symposium of the meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. "X-Rounds: Refractive Cataract Surgery to the Max" will be moderated by Eric Donnenfeld, MD. Meeting symposia day by day O utside of the General Sessions, symposia are staples for education, featuring a range of top- ics and, occasionally, some levity. This year's meeting includes more than a dozen symposia through- out. Today A symposium sponsored by the ASCRS Retina Clinical Committee starts the day at 8:00 a.m. with "Retina Essentials for the Anterior Segment Surgeon" moderated by Christina Weng, MD. Later in the day at 1:30 p.m. is "Challenging Cases in Cataract Surgery Video Competition" moderated by Kevin Miller, MD. This symposium is comprised of challenging case videos that were submitted and selected to highlight unusual or challenging aspects of pha- co, FLACS, and/or IOL practice. The Young Eye Surgeons (YES) Clinical Committee-sponsored "Complications by Proxy" will also take place at 1:30 p.m. with co-moderators Zaina Al-Mohtaseb, MD, and Sumit "Sam" Garg, MD. Douglas Koch, MD, will mod- erate "IOL Calculations: Refining and Expanding Our Toolbox" at 3:45 p.m., and "Glaucoma Essentials," the Glaucoma Clini- cal Committee symposium, will take place at this time with Amy Zhang, MD, and Thomas Patriana- kos, DO, moderating.
