40 | EYEWORLD DAILY NEWS | JULY 25, 2021 ASCRS ANNUAL MEETING DAILY NEWS IOL power was selected based on preoperative biometric mea- surements and modern formulas. Intraoperative aberrometry was performed on all cases, and the IOL power selection by the sur- geon was based on comparison of preoperative and intraoperative biometry data. The study included 21 eyes of 15 patients, and all patients had previous myopic refractive sur- gery and received the PanOptix or PanOptix toric IOL. Patients were evaluated at 3 months postop. In the study, 12 eyes had a YAG capsulotomy prior to screen- ing, and five eyes had a laser fine-tune prior to results. The trifocal IOL provided monocular DCVA and UCVA of 20/25 or better at distance, and 20/32 or better at intermediate and near. Additionally, the trifocal IOL provided binocular DCVA and UCVA of 20/20 or better at distance, and 20/25 or better at intermediate and near. Dr. Greenwood noted that 93% of patients were very or somewhat satisfied with their vi- sion. When asked how often they noticed glare or halo, 57% of pa- tients said not at all or very little, and when asked how bothered they were by glare or halo, 79% said they were not at all bothered or very little. Patients were also asked about the need for spectacle correction for various activities in their daily lives. When asked how often they wore glasses for daytime driving, 86% said never, while 93% said they never wore glasses for night- time driving. When asked how often they wore glasses for using the computer, 79% said never; 86% said they never wear glasses for using their mobile phone; and 93% said they never wear glasses for watching TV.
