All courses in the Technicians & Nurses Program have been approved for IJCAHPO CE credit. Select courses are approved for CA BRN credit. A maximum of 16 (IJCAHPO CE) credits are available for this 2-and-a-half-day program. An additional 2 (IJCAHPO CE) credits are available on demand to the 2022 registered attendees at no extra charge. A joint registration cate- gory is available for those interested in attending both the ASOA and Techni- cians & Nurses Programs. Cross over between the ASOA and Technicians & Nurses Programs will be permitted to those registered in the joint registration category only. Those registered solely for either the ASOA or Technicians & Nurses Program will not be allowed to cross over. All registrants in either cate- gory are welcome to attend the ASCRS Program. Sessions cover 11 ophthal- mic categories including glaucoma, retina, neuro-ophthalmology, and refractive and cataract surgery. Leading speakers, including Richard Allen, MD, PhD, and Vasudha Panday, MD, will present on challenges in ophthalmic surgical procedures such as evisceration, enucleation, and ex- enteration, as well as cataract surgery involving patients with comorbidities. Dr. Tsai will review new innovative advances in the detection and manage- ment of glaucoma, including assessing visual function, providing sustained release of drugs, and controlling intraocular pressure via less invasive surgical methods. Held in addition to the Techni- cians & Nurses Program, ASCRS and IJCAHPO will co-sponsor two Biometry Learning Labs* today. These limited- availability hands-on Learning Labs will elevate technicians' knowledge of IOL calculation measurements. At- tendees will rotate through stations to practice skills, perfect their technique, and demonstrate how to translate and correlate IOL calculation measure- ments using multiple instruments. IJCAHPO's Certification Exam Prep Courses* will also be held today. These interactive courses are designed to prepare technicians for the COA or COT multiple choice examination. New to the program this year: • The Technicians & Nurses Program will begin this afternoon and run through Sunday, with more than 25 courses offered during the 2-and-a- half-day event. • Registrants will receive two addi- tional on-demand virtual courses included with their registration. • IJCAHPO will present the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) and Cer- tified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certification Exam Prep Courses this afternoon.
