The second workshop, titled "The Intentionality of Creating an AMAZ- ING Practice Culture – A Deep Dive Workshop for Practice Leaders & Their Teams," was led by Hayley Boling, MBA, COE. Organizational culture impacts every aspect of a practice's success, from recruiting and retaining quality team members to strategic planning and goal setting; from practice pur- pose and vision casting to onboarding and team engagement; from continu- ing education and career pathing to communication and feedback; from practice productivity and team mem- ber performance to absenteeism and I n addition to a Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) review work- shop, the ASOA program included two workshops all day on Friday. The first, "Finance 201 and Beyond: Learning the Language for a Seat at the Table," was designed for those famil- iar with basic financial concepts and operations but who wanted a deeper knowledge to understand and apply advanced finance principles. The work- shop featured a mix of panel discus- sions, presentations, and breakouts to help attendees learn about topics such as forecasting and budgeting, develop- ing data driven KPIs, analyzing mar- gins, negotiations, and development of financial metrics.
