A
SCRS and IJCAHPO co-spon-
sored two sold out Biometry
Learning Labs on Friday.
These hands-on Learning
Labs are designed to elevate techni-
cians' knowledge and skills of IOL
calculation measurements. Attendees
rotated through stations to practice
skills, perfect their technique, and
demonstrate how to translate and
correlate IOL calculation measure-
ments using multiple instruments.
"Learning Labs inspire and
encourage learning, regardless of
a technician's skill set or role," said
James Tsai, MD, MBA, IJCAHPO
president. "Employees who are
engaged in their own learning and
development goals are more produc-
tive and feel more autonomous and
invested in learning and advancing
their skill sets. As well as being a fun,
interactive course, employees en-
courage one another and support one
another's goals and development."
The lead instructor was Craig
Simms, BSc, COMT, CDOS, ROUB.
He was joined by co-instructors
Jennifer Good, COA, April Lemaster,
COMT, Hilda Zamora, ROUB, and
Aida Haile, COT. Alcon and Carl Zeiss
