Packed with paper sessions, educational courses, skills transfer labs, interactive symposia, and more, ASCRS is the best place to learn. Make sure to check out the Exhibit Hall this year. We have a unique exhibit, the Time Machine, showing what an OR and clinic looked like in 1974, a true blast from the past and great perspective on where we came from to appreciate where we are. In closing, this last year for ASCRS has been incredible under the helm of Elizabeth Yeu, MD. She has committed herself to our or- ganization and has led with grace and vision. Thank you, Liz, for your leadership and dedication! Next, we welcome Vance Thompson, MD, as incoming president. Vance needs no introduction to most of us. He is a world-renowned physician, sur- geon, and scientist. Vance embodies ASCRS, and he will be an amazing leader for us. I hope you enjoy your time in Boston. I'll see you around the meeting. Join for a reception and the official opening to the 2024 ASCRS Annual Meeting. This year, we welcome our new An- nual Meeting Program Chair Thomas Samuelson, MD. Tonight, it is time to party—at the ASCRS ASOA Party for a Purpose. This year's party theme takes it back to 1974 to the Society's roots. Come dressed to impress in your favorite 70s outfit and have fun dancing, interacting, and imbibing all in support of the ASCRS Foundation. This is a special year for ASCRS as we celebrate 50 years as the leading professional organization for anterior segment surgeons. Our meeting is packed with education, innovation, advocacy, industry relations, men- torship, friendship, and—new this year—a tribute to the past 50 years of ASCRS! Our meeting kicked off with Eyecelerator. For those who haven't been, Eyecelerator is where vision meets innovation and is a great way to start the meeting. This year's program, which was chaired by John Berdahl, MD, and Julie Schallhorn, MD, featured popular sessions, including the "Winning Pitch Chal- lenge," breakout sessions with various presenting companies, and "Wheels Up."
