In this symposium, seasoned physicians will share their personal experiences and strategies with regard to office management and patient counseling so that "The Talk" can be as effective and efficient as possible. Finally, the ASCRS Main Stage programming will conclude on Monday from 3:30–5:00 p.m. with the Best of ASCRS, where some of the Best Paper of Session winners across cataract, refractive, cornea, and glaucoma categories will be shared and discussed. Main Stage. This 90-minute pro- gram will feature four international teams of cataract surgeons (repre- senting APACRS, ASCRS, ESCRS, and LASCRS) competing in a video program highlighting practical pearls for routine and complicated cataract surgery. An international panel of four judges (one representing each society) will comment after each presentation. Sunday evening will feature the ASCRS Film Festival reception and ceremony from 5:15–7:00 p.m. In this exciting ceremony, awards will be given out in a variety of catego- ries. Be sure to stay until the end to see who takes home this year's Grand Prize. Monday's ASCRS Main Stage programming will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a session on "Having 'The Talk.'" Most of the challenges clinicians experience with T he ASCRS Main Stage is back this year, with a number of exciting symposia and other spotlight sessions throughout the Annual Meeting. Today, join fellow attendees and ASCRS leadership for the Opening Reception and Session. The reception begins at 3:45 p.m., and the program begins at 4:05 p.m. The program will feature ASCRS leadership, the Hall of Fame inductee, and a special session for the 50th anniversary of ASCRS. Various awards will also be presented. Saturday on the Main Stage will commence at 10:00 a.m., with guest speaker Annie Duke. She will be followed by "The X-Factor: Wom- en Leading by Example," featuring Malvina Eydelman, MD, with the FDA, and ASCRS past presidents Elizabeth Yeu, MD, Bonnie Hender- son, MD, Priscilla Arnold, MD, and Marguerite McDonald, MD. This ses- sion will conclude with the Cornelius D. Binkhorst, MD, Lecture given by Mitchell Weikert, MD. "X-Rounds: Refractive Cataract Surgery to the Max" will take place Saturday afternoon on the ASCRS Main Stage. This fast-paced session will feature the latest and greatest in refractive cataract surgery. Leading surgeons will discuss new and future advances in cataract surgery, improv- ing outcomes, refractive IOLs, and case management. Sunday's Main Stage program- ming will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Richard L. Lindstrom, MD, Lecture given by Renato Ambrosio Jr., MD, PhD, and the Charles D. Kelman, MD, Innovator's Lecture given by David F. Chang, MD. The session will also feature a special discussion with industry leaders. On Sunday afternoon, the "Cat- aract Olympics" will take over the Don't miss out on exciting programming on the ASCRS Main Stage ASCRS Subspecialty Day: Attend the Subspecialty Day program- ming from 8:00 a.m.–3:45 p.m. With a day packed full of educa- tion on cornea, glaucoma, and refractive topics, you won't want to miss it. Subspecialty Day will also include the Steinert Refrac- tive Lecture and the Stephen A. Obstbaum, MD, Honored Lecture. Party for a Purpose: Party like it's the year of the Society's founding—1974! The ASCRS ASOA Party for a Purpose will take place from 8:00 p.m.–mid- night at the Omni Boston Hotel at Seaport. It's open to all ASCRS, ASOA, industry/exhibitor at- tendees, and their guests (please bring your badge). Admission is free. All donations raised during the ASCRS ASOA Party for a Purpose will benefit the ASCRS Foundation. ASCRS Exhibit Hall opening: The Exhibit Hall opens today at noon.
