success in San Francisco
during the ASCRS•ASOA
Symposium & Congress,
the
ASCRS Foundation
and TearLab (San Diego) are again
partnering to sponsor the Second
Annual Run for Sight in Boston on
Sunday morning from 6:30 to 8:00
a.m.
The 5K run/1-mile walk on
Castle Island offers runners stunning
views of Boston Harbor and the city
skyline.
Bus transportation to and
from the event will be provided. All
participants receive breakfast and a
race T-shirt.
"TearLab is honored to partner
again with the ASCRS Foundation
to sponsor this year's race," said
TearLab president and COO Seph
Jensen. "The Foundation's focus
on eye health aligns with TearLab's
focus on the importance of the
health of the ocular surface, which is
critical to getting the best and most
consistent outcomes for cataract
surgery."
Last year, more than 330
runners helped raise more than
$42,000 to support the Foundation's
ongoing humanitarian programs.
All money raised through the race
directly benefits needy patients.
"The ASCRS Foundation is
doing important work to further
the cause of eye health around the
world through its support in the
areas of research, education, and
humanitarian eyecare," said Mr.
Jensen. "We look forward to our
continued partnership and support
in 2014."
Bus transportation to and from
the race site will be provided from
area hotels and the Boston Conven-
tion & Exhibition Center.
