Each year, the foundation awards 10 travel grants to extraordi- nary residents through a competitive application process. The applica- tion period is open from October to January, and applicants must be nominated by their program directors. The foundation's Review Committee considers exemplary resident performance in the areas of research, patient care, leadership, and education. In addition to the travel grant, the ASCRS Foundation provides complimentary meeting registration and housing. The total awards pack- age offers sufficient financial support for 4 days of concentrated learning ASCRS Foundation helps 10 outstanding residents attend meeting at the ASCRS•ASOA Symposium & Congress.
