While visiting the many offerings
of the Audubon Nature Institute,
you don't want to miss the Butter-
fly Garden and Insectarium. The
Butterfly Garden features hundreds
of butterflies in a free-flight area.
Other exhibits focus on cockroaches,
a praying mantis, and bugs specific
to the wetlands of Louisiana. Open
Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m., admission is
$16.95 for adults.

Come and check out the wildlife at
the Audubon Zoo. The site has had
animals since 1884 at the World
Exposition in Audubon Park. The
zoo spans 58 acres and features ele-
phants, bears, birds, and many other
animals and exciting exhibits. Gen-
eral admission tickets start at $18.95
for adults, or you can choose from a
variety of package and combination
offers. The zoo is open from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through
Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
on Saturday and Sunday.
