X-Rounds session gives quick insights into
what experts are thinking on variety of topics
MD, Moscow. Speakers during the
session included Neel Desai, MD,
Clearwater, Florida, W. Barry Lee,
MD, Atlanta, Dr. Malyugin, Robert
Noecker, MD, Fairfield, Connecti-
cut, and Richard Tipperman, MD,
Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Tipperman presented 3 top
cataract papers. The first looked at
the prevalence of glaucoma in cata-
ract patients.

session on Tuesday after-
noon was "The Best of
ASCRS 2016." This session featured
a wrap-up of some of the most
important and interesting papers
from the meeting as a whole. Eric

Atlanta, Clara Chan, MD, Toron-

California, and Boris Malyugin,

lot of education in lively
symposium

s if the meeting in the
Big Easy was not going
fast enough, "X-Rounds:
Refractive Surgery to the
Max" on Tuesday, the last
day of the ASCRS•ASOA Symposium
& Congress, provided a rapid-fire,
interactive symposium designed to
give the audience diverse insights
from some of the field's leading
experts.
Moderator Eric Donnenfeld,
MD, Rockville Centre, New York,
introduced the panelists—David
Chang, MD, Los Altos, California;
Bonnie Henderson, MD, Boston;
Stephen Lane, MD, Stillwater, Min-
nesota; Richard Lindstrom, MD,
Minneapolis; Stephen Slade, MD,
Houston; and Kerry Solomon, MD,
Mount Pleasant, South Carolina—as
the X-Men in the field of cataract
and refractive surgery.
"What makes the X-Rounds
special is we incorporate a little bit
of fun into our session and also a lot
of education. As the audience, you
get to decide the talks you like best,"
Dr. Donnenfeld said.
