enchmarking to analyze
trends, review practice
performance, and evaluate
internal processes is an in-
creasingly important part
of practice management.
Historically, it takes a lot of time
to compile practice data and crunch
the numbers to get meaningful
metrics to make informed business
decisions, and often it's hard to get
access to real-time benchmarks to
compare to similar practices—until
now.
Introducing ASOAnalytics
ASOA, in partnership with BSM
Consulting, launched ASOAna-
lytics to give members exclusive
access to real-time data for sound
business decisions. It's an online
benchmarking database that collects
individual practice data through a
series of "bite-sized" surveys and
places benchmarks and key practice
management data in the hands of
administrators when they need it.
ASOAnalytics is like a personal
benchmarking database. It enables
administrators to gather practice
data, analyze trends, review practice
performance compared to industry
benchmarks, evaluate internal pro-
cesses, and more. Participants will
gain insight on:
• Practice demographics
• Provider productivity
• Staff productivity
• Clinical staff wages and salaries
• Revenue cycle management, and
more
ASOA members can partici-
pate free of charge in the first two
surveys, Practice Demographics and
Provider Productivity. A $250 annual
subscription will provide access to
all subsequent surveys and corre-
sponding data and benchmarks.
ASOAnalytics is easy to access,
easy to use, and easy to understand.
Interpreting the data can some-
times be challenging, so ASOAnalyt-
ics will offer subscribers educational
opportunities within the application
to learn how to use the data.
"ASOAnalytics recognizes that
everyone is starved for time, analyt-
ics and finances can be intimidating,
and budgets are tight," said Dan
Chambers, ASOA president. It's a
win-win for administrators to have a
tool like this at their disposal.
