April 17 On the final day of the meeting, the popular X-Rounds session, focusing on refractive cataract surgery, will be back from 10:00–11:30 a.m. There will also be a symposium on laser cataract surgery, as well as the Best of ASCRS General Session to wrap up the meeting. Instructional courses will high- light topics like astigmatism man- agement, challenging situations, toric IOL outcomes, and phakic IOLs. Paper sessions will focus on IOL power calculations, practice pat- terns/training, and more. EW phaco, extreme cataracts, premium IOLs, and SMILE. Paper sessions will highlight topics related to phaco, IOL power calculations, complications, astigma- tism/toric IOLs, refractive outcomes, LASIK/PRK outcomes, and more. Skills transfer offerings include labs on iris sutures, anterior vitrecto- my, and ECCE/SICS. April 16 A video symposium will take place from 8:00–9:30 a.m. that will high- light complicated and challenging cases in cataract surgery. Other sym- posia will also focus on challenging case management. The ASCRS Mil- itary Refractive Surgery symposium will take place from 8:00–9:30 a.m. Instructional courses will feature topics such as glued IOLs, astigma- tism management, optimizing toric IOL outcomes, corneal tomography and topography, topography-guided gery, secondary IOL implantation, IOL exchange, intraocular medica- tion choices, and phaco chop. Paper sessions will touch on challenging cases/IFIS, refractive outcomes/ELP/refractive index shap- ing, SMILE/LASIK, surgical planning, and more. Skills transfer sessions include labs on secondary IOL implantation, ECCE/SICS, and advanced phaco. April 15 A symposium from 8:00–9:30 a.m. will focus on "Surgical Essentials: Getting You Out of Trouble in Cata- ract Surgery." Other symposia later in the day will highlight astigma- tism management and challenging cases. The 2018 Cataract Surgery Olympics will be held from 3:00– 4:30 p.m. Instructional courses will cover topics including subluxated lenses, There will be many sessions dedicated to cataract and refractive topics throughout the Annual Meeting Today Today's programming will feature a variety of courses, symposia, skills transfer labs, and papers sessions that will highlight cataract and refractive topics. There will be a symposium from 1:00–2:30 p.m. on "Chal- lenging Video Cases for the Young Eye Surgeon," which is sponsored by the ASCRS Young Eye Surgeons Clinical Committee.
