He "was a friend to all who knew him," Dr. Holland said. T he Annual Meeting offi- cially opened on Saturday with the ASCRS Opening General Session. It began with a welcome from Edward Holland, MD, Cincinnati, ASCRS program chair. He welcomed attendees to the 44th ASCRS meet- ing, which he said has more than 7,000 attendees from more than 100 countries.
