Ellen Thompson Harbin, 20/20 Ophthalmic Associates, PC, Montgomery, Alabama, was hon- ored for her article, "Active Shooter? How to Respond." It was published in the January/February 2017 issue of AE. John Pinto, J. Pinto & Associ- ates Inc., San Diego, was also hon- ored for his piece, "Your Indispens- able Role in Helping Doctors Master Their Inner Game." His article was in the November/December 2017 issue of AE. This annual award recognizes the best member-authored article published in ASOA's award-winning Administrative Eyecare magazine during the preceding calendar year. The goal of the award is to recog- nize and thank contributing authors and to encourage new writing contributions for future AE issues.
