Challenge aims to engage
F
or the first time this year, attendees of the ASOA Congress will
have the opportunity to participate in the "2013 ASOA Congress Challenge." The idea behind it is to get attendees more
engaged in the annual meeting, according to Shannon
Mueller, ASOA meeting manager. Attendees can pick up a card
with the instructions and list of tasks in the Networking Room (Nob
Hill Room of the Marriott Marquis). Tasks include "Meet an ASOA President," "Meet an NBCOE President," "Meet a member of the ASOA
staff," and "Other Activities," such as "I am a current ASOA Member,"
"I met a new colleague," and "I attended at least three sessions."
As attendees complete tasks, they verify each item as noted in the
instructions (either stamped by a staff member or leadership, or
initialed by the attendee, a speaker, staff member, or colleague).
Attendees should return the cards to the Networking Room by 12 p.m.
on Tuesday, April 23. The winners will be announced after the annual
meeting and prizes will be awarded.
