This year's addition of femto- second laser cataract surgery will be an intensive, 90-minute, hands-on introduction to the 4 dominant cataract laser platforms in the U.S., said Skills Transfer Subcommittee member Kevin Miller, MD, chief of the cataract and refractive surgery division, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Los Angeles. "Course attendees will have the opportunity to dock a model eye, image the eye, and fire each laser. Dr. Henderson is chair of the Skills Transfer Subcommittee. "It is the perfect place to learn a new skill or brush up on an old one.
